New 3 Month Weight Loss Challenge!

I have a new goal weight to reach (190 pounds), and the only way I know how to reach it is to establish a challenge to myself so to speak. My last weight loss challenge I lost 39 pounds! This time around I need to lose 38 pounds (an average of 12.66 pounds per month) in three months in order to reach 190 pounds.

That’s right, I’m starting a new 3 month weight loss challenge starting today!

How I’m going to do it:

In order to achieve 38 pounds in three months I’m going to eat and exercise pretty much the same as I did with the last weight loss challenge. The only difference is I’m going to start eating better foods (try to) and be more strict with my calorie intake. That means no more weekend mishaps or going over my calories anymore. My calorie intake is going to be between 1200-1400 calories per day no if’s, and’s or but’s about it.

As far as exercising goes, I’m going to try and be more active outside the gym. I’m doing great in the gym, I have my trainer kicking my ass twice a week and I go 3-4 times a week by myself. But I need to get out of the house more, do more walking or whatever to keep active.

So I’m doing the same as before but I’m taking it one step further by eating better foods (more fruits and vegetables) and being more active.

It’s not going to happen overnight, I’ll have to work towards it, but I will try every second of the day and I won’t give up.

So it’s settled.

I have been mentally established, and documented to keep me at my word.

Starting Date: 3/13/10
Ending Date:
6/13/10

Ending weight should hopefully be 190 lbs.

The challenge with this new goal is that I’m coming off the FIRST weight loss challenge and so my body has already adjusted to my new life style. So I will have to take things a notch higher to continue my weight loss.

I feel I have a 1/2 chance of reaching my goal, and a 2/3 chance of losing only 20 pounds in the time period (which would be great in it’s self).

Let’s see how it goes. :)

    Good luck with your three month challenge! Try to stay at the top of that calorie range, you don’t want to starve yourself. :)
