Last Day At LifeTime Fitness

Posted on 01. Feb, 2010 by Jay in Gym

Yesterday was my last day at Lifetime Fitness. :(

The main reason why is because I moved. It brought me from a 10 mile round trip to a 25 mile round trip which isn’t very economical. Another reason why is because Gold’s Gym is just down the street so it didn’t make much since to continue paying $70 a month and drive 25 miles, when I can pay $40 and drive 5 miles.

I shall miss the place though; it was a lot of fun. :)

In front of the cardio machines… the probably had a hundred machines.. it’s a HUGE gym.

The ’stretching’ area?

Full basketball court..

Two of them.

And much more!

It was a great gym and I’ll miss the place.

By the way, I took those pictures with my iPhone at 3AM Saturday night. :)

I used to have a gym membership several years ago to 24hr fitness. But back then I was clueless and didn’t realized that weight loss depends more on diet than strength training and exercise combined. Now I’m fortunate enough to have a gym at work so I don’t have to spend money on it.

      Knowledge is power, eh?

I’ve said this since I started the blog, exercise with diet and you won’t lose weight. It’s only when you diet and exercise will a person see real results.

      24 hour gyms FTW! :)

I miss the gym sometimes. I bought a treadmill instead of renewing my gym membership as I was only going to the gym to run.

Bad deal really as I only really run outside nowadays.

Lol, that’s how my elliptical is 90% of the time. I rather go to the heated gyms when it’s 30F in my garage gym and so it hardly gets used. The bad thing was I spent 1800 bones on it! :(

It’s amazing how the gym becomes a second home. You get to know the people, partons, and scenery. But I think the new gym will be exciting too. Like starting out fresh. Even though you have been on the machines a 100 times, it will feel like a new experience. Sometimes change is good.

Right, that’s why I don’t mind gold’s gym. There are dozens located in my city and I can go to everyone!

      It shall be exciting. :)
