Carl’s Jr Day :)
Posted on 20. Feb, 2010 by Jay in Challenge +
I set a goal for myself a few weeks back that when I reached a certain weight I would celebrate and let go a little by eating a tasty Carl’s Jr burger. Well I reached that goal awhile ago, but today was the day I decided to chow down!
For some reason it didn’t taste as good as I remembered, but it was still pretty good.
I didn’t eat the fries that came with it (that’s just a no-no) and I had unsweetened tea for a drink. I didn’t even finish the whole burger before I was full and ready to move on.
Was it worth it?
Sure, I needed to spike my calories up for the day anyway. Plus I worked out crazy hard at my home gym afterwords. I incorporated a few exercises my trainer taught me and upped my cardio so I’m sure there won’t be any weight gain.
Next time though, I think I’ll make my own healthy but awesome burgers.

It was okay.
My mouth is sore from eating it though… even today.. actually the roof of my mouth. Weird.

Good job man. The western bacon ones are the best. I would do without the fries too. Those are the “empty calories” I was reading about last night in my Arnold book. Great how our tastes change a little eating better.

Yeah, my workout buddy says fries are really bad so I go with what he’s saying and stay way.
Burgers on the other hand are alright if you do without all the high calorie crap.

I’ve found that making healthy ones at home has resulted in me no longer enjoying restaurant ones.

Once you get used to eating healthier the bad stuff isn’t as appealing anymore. I think you just found that out first hand.
Still though, I love a good burger, and thats looks like a good burger

Having incentives is always a great motivator. Good going on not drinking any calories and giving up on the fries. I think you did good as far as damage control goes.
