Grr.. I gained a pound over the weekend.
I have been slacking a little I admit it, but I also have been sick with allergies for the past few days. I guess spending more time outside with the fresh air and pollen isn’t a good idea right now. Though I plan on mowing the yard right after this post.
I missed a session with my trainer as well.
I have increased my calorie intake a little to try and help me get over the allergies. I find lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and general good foods usually help me feel better. I probably shouldn’t have eaten that huge steak I had over the weekend but there’s nothing I can do about that now.
*sniff
Question for my 10 readers: Has anyone tried the 90-day P90x challenge? I’m seriously thinking about buying the program and giving it a try. It’s basically what I do already, but P90X seems to be a few levels higher then what I’m used to and it looks like it can really work.
Ah.. time to mow the yard.

You’ll be rid of that pesky extra pound in no time flat! I haven’t tried P90X myself, but it certainly seems to have lots of followers – nearly everyone I know within five years of my age has tried it or talked about trying it.

Yeah, I’m down already.
I may try P90X.. I’m not sure.
I think it would be a good 3-month challenge.
Argh…I own it…and used it for maybe a week. The infomercials make it seem so awesome, and it really is quite intense…but I dunno…workout dvds just aren’t really my thing.
With that said though, once I get into better shape I might give it another go around. I couldn’t do quite a few of the exercises. And (which I didn’t know until after the fact) they recommend doing the Power 90 program first.
I wouldn’t worry about that pound either, hell, knowing you, you’ve probably already lost it

Hmmm, I’m not big on workout DVDs either…
I don’t know.. I may try it.
I just wrote my opinion on p90x on a message board. I have not done the program but I do have a copy of it and watched enough of it to make an educated judgment.
It’s a decent program that when followed properly, including the nutritional booklet which is actually pretty decent, will get you results. The problem I find with P90X is:
1) it will not get a 250lbs+ person ripped in 90 days but that is how some would feel about it when they see it
2) they’re pushers when it comes to supplements, all their training videos end with trying to sell you some BS supplement, recovery drink or other crap.
3) their cardio stuff is stupid and lame. Who wants to run in one place for an hour? That’s just retarded.
4) I think the yoga and stretching stuff is overdone and is a waste of precious time that could be better utilized to do LISS for more weight loss.
5) The muscle confusion claim they advertise is just plain BS.
I would not do P90X myself but it’s far better than some of the other, utter BS plans that are out there.

Bummer allergies, huh. Good to take care of that. About the p90x .. I have been tempted to try it, and may have by now, except that I’m not into sweating with videos, it seems too expensive, and it’s good for me to get out of the house to do my thang at the gym.
