A Good Workout

Posted on 24. Jan, 2010 by in Weight Loss

Today was the second day of my 7-days straight of going to the gym. I told my workout partner that I was thinking about getting a trainer in a couple months because our workouts have been lacking a little. Basically we have been doing the same few workouts over and over again and while that’s fine, I need something new because I haven’t been getting sore at all. So he took what I said and we mixed it up today and I have a feeling I’m going to be pretty sore tomorrow.

Not only that, I worked on my car today for a few hours (changing out a fuel pump), so that was even more exercise though nothing major.

I have been trying to increase my fiber intake recently because I have noticed I’m eating a lot more protein the past couple weeks (CHICKEN!!) and I don’t think that’s a very good idea. I have been drinking a lot of water, and trying to eat more fiber. I just finished eating a plate of broccoli and cheese.. emm!

Also I spent about 4 hours this morning adding threaded comments to the blog. It took a lot of tweaking but I think I have it set now. Basically now I can reply directly to certain comments easier, and have conversations with people now. Give it a shot, post a comment and I’ll reply. :)

Cheers,

Current Weight: 244.5

Protein is good if you’re doing strength training.

No doubt, I’m doing a mix of cardio and strength training right now. But eating mostly protein all day long isn’t very good I think. :)

I haev to add threaded comments to my theme too, it’s almost a must, there is no reason not to have it when WordPress supports it out of the box.

Right I agree, though not all themes are setup for it.. so I had to take the comments.php file from another theme that was updated.. plus grab their CSS info.. and put that together for my WP theme. It was a huge pain. It would have been easier if I just found a new WP theme.. but I like this one so much.

At least it’s working now, I need to do a couple tweaks with it, but I like it. :)

My diet plan consists of 40% protein, 50% carbs and 10% fat. If you are doing weight training then its a must have you consume lots of protein to help with muscle recovery.
