30 Pounds Lost! :)

Posted on 06. Feb, 2010 by in Challenge +

Well actually 31 pounds since I started the Weight Loss Challenge! Thirty pounds just sounded better. :)

It seems since I started running this past week I burn more calories during my workouts. It’s something new for me, I never really liked running before now; I guess because being 270 lbs and running wasn’t fun. I remember when I was 300+ pounds and trying to run was very hard! At 336 my highest weight, I couldn’t even run! My trainer would try and force me to run, but I could only do 30-seconds at a time without having to give up. Now I’m doing 15-20 minutes with no problem! I’m so excited about that.

My highest weight was 336 lbs, and now I’m at 237 lbs, ONE pound away from 100 pounds lost! I can’t believe I lost 100 pounds! I’ll post pictures of me when I was 300+ pounds a little later..  those were hard days.

Well, tomorrow will be two months into the weight loss challange and I’ll post a status report of how things went. :)

Great job, Jay! I didn’t realize you’d just started running this past week! That’s fantastic. Your comment on my blog inspired me to give it a shot last night, too. Well – jogging – I can’t really call it running. Just posted on it this morning over at Reconstructing 30. Keep it up! And I’ll try, too!

And you’ll be at 100 pound in no time!!! Awesome.

That is absolutely amazing! You should be very proud of that. That’s a lot of weight man! And yeah, running really seems to kick it up a notch.

It does, but it’s not really hard work anymore, it’s a way of life to me now. Working out and eating right is just who I am now.

Well, it is for this period in my life, hopefully in the future it continues. I think it will.
